New A. J. Payler short story "Spoilers on Page Thirteen" up now at Suspect--plus audio!

Suspect has published my short story “Spoilers on Page Thirteen” today, posted and free to read in its entirety at: https://singaporeunbound.org/suspect-journal/2023/12/22/spoilers-on-page-thirteen

They also offered me the opportunity to read the story for audio, which I enthusiastically accepted. I’ve always enjoyed hearing authors read their own work and much prefer it to the traditional generic narrator or celebrity voicing (or *shudder* AI voicing), though I understand why others feel differently.

The recording is also up at the same page (scroll to the bottom, below the story text), like a free little audiobook or podcast. Making audio versions available only makes the writing accessible to more people—hopefully more publications will do the same in the future!
